Noel Sterett has been with Mauck & Baker, LLC since May 2007 and became a member of the firm on January 1, 2012. Noel has litigated in federal courts across the country, from Idaho to New Jersey, advocating for the civil liberties of churches and ministries in the land use/zoning context under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act. He has also successfully defended the civil liberties of street preachers and just recently obtained a permanent injunction protecting a mobile pregnancy/ultrasound service in the City of Elgin, IL.
Noel is an allied attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom (“ADF”) and received ADF’s Bronze Level Service Award for contributing more than 2,500 hours of pro bono work in defense of religious liberty, the unborn, and marriage.
Noel is a graduate of Regent University’s School of Law where he served for two years as the law school chaplain and as a member of the Christian Legal Society and Regent Students for Life.
Noel now resides in Elmhurst, Illinois along with his wife, Elise, and sons, Gavin and Grant. He is a member and elder at Pathway Community Church in Elmhurst, and currently serves on the national board of Courtside Ministries, a prayer ministry for people on their way in and out of court.
